Terje joined BDO Estonia team in January 2017 as a Payroll Specialist, but soon became a Payroll Services and Reporting Senior Manager, who was given the responsibility to provide large-scale payroll services to companies operating internationally, mainly in the IT field. Since October 2020, Terje has been the Head of the Payroll and Reporting Services business line at BDO Estonia and one of the company's partners.
Her area of expertise is to coordinate and develop the payroll and reporting business line, including managing and developing the performance of its business line people, creating new value at both, the business line and company level, and improving the quality of service to BDO's customers. Her work also includes finding new business opportunities and negotiating the terms. In addition, she coordinates GDPR and data protection projects, as well as HR and recruitment services.
Before joining BDO, Terje began her career as an assistant in the accounting department of a small shipping company and worked at DNB Bank. As a result, she has long-term experience with the payroll and personnel accounting programs Taavi Palk and Taavi Personal.
Terje graduated from Tallinn School of Economics with a degree in Applied Accounting and Taxation. To continuously improve her knowledge and experience, Terje regularly participates in professional trainings, incl. issues related to employment law, payroll, management, HR and personal data processing.
