International Snapshots 2018 – overview of BDO Transaction Services

BDO Global has published a selection of Transaction Services deals completed during the last year showcasing some of the experience that our worldwide teams have. It is a perfect example of how well the knowledge, experience and collaboration is engaged among the BDO teams across the globe in order to provide our clients with quality services.   

BDO Estonia in cooperation with BDO Latvia, BDO Lithuania and BDO Finland carried out an analysis of the transaction structure from a tax perspective and performed due diligence for Taaleri Investments Ltd in connection with the management buy-out of Oriola's Baltic businesses. 

In August 2017 Oriola announced that it had signed an agreement to sell its Baltic businesses to the companies’ existing management. BDO advised the management in reorganizing five Oriola subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania under a new Latvian parent company, SIA Oribalt Group. The new Oribalt Group will be one of the top 100 Latvian companies by turnover and it employs 160 people in three countries in the field of pharmaceutical pre-wholesale​, wholesale and internet pharmacy.
